"ROSES IN A JAR"

This painting had lots of starts and stops all week.  Many time I had to repaint an area that had dried in order to keep the 'wet in wet' look of alla prima painting and also for the edges I was after.  It did afford many 'fresh looks' at the painting and stopped me from falling in love too soon.  It measures 10 x 8 inches oil on canvas panel.  To bid on eBay CLICK HERE  SOLD
 

UNTITLED NUDE STUDY

I've been sick all week and not painting much. Sunday is my day to post on "Lost Coast Daily Painters" so I knew I had to come up with something. Opening an old flat file this little study was on top and expressed my sentiments exactly. Green nude on a little pink pillow. It measures 7 x 7 inches watercolor on cold pressed paper. "HOLIDAY FLORAL"

I had lots of family with little kids for Thanksgiving. My studio walls are plastered with their art.

"FLORAL IN PAL-BELL VASE

This vase was a lucky find for me at a thrift store. ( frequent haunt of mine) The lovely shape and color attracted me instantly. "OREO"

I was fortunate enough to be involved in two shows this year quite close together. Many of the paintings will be the same. This is Oreo, my cat and a key feature in my retrospective. He deserves a post.....naughty as he is. The downward ears are the result of numerous surgeries from the usual cat stuff. This is oil on Raymar panel 14 x 18 inches.
